The 63rd Annual Fall Conference

The 63rd Annual Fall Conference, held this year on November 1 at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, was another blazing success!

This conference is the crown jewel of a jam-packed schedule of educational and networking opportunities offered by the Northern California Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. This year was no disappointment, as over 335 attendees enjoyed the informative speakers, visiting with exhibitors, and networking with each other.

2012 Fall Conference Chair John A. Hillas, SRA of Hulberg & Associates, thanks the 2012 Fall Conference Committee, the Nor-Cal Chapter Executive Director Lisa Estes and Chapter administrative assistant Pat Moore for their hard work over a ten month period leading up to the conference. The chapter would also like to thank our sponsors and exhibitors who helped make the day a success, including FREA/NDCdata, LIA Administrators & Insurance Services, Appraisers Paradise, Joseph J. Blake and Associates, Chase Bank, Enright & Company, FNC, Inc., Bradford Technologies, Hulberg & Associates, ParcelQuest, and the Appraisal Institute itself.

Attendees enjoyed hearing from Mr. Gary Zimmerman, Senior Economist with the Federal Reserve Bank, San Francisco. The day continued with sixteen various breakout sessions on topics from New Building Technology, Changes in Estate Tax and Gifting, and specialized valuation issues in the Health Care Industry. Additional topics such as Valuation of Non-Stabilized Property, an Overview on Business Valuation, and Water Rights and Valuation of Agriculture Property all received excellent feedback from attendees.

Yvonne Broszus, MAI of Hulberg & Associates may have said it best, when she said this was one of the best Fall Conferences she remembers, due in part to the wide variety of topics, and the extraordinary speakers from all across the country.

The Annual Fall Conference in San Francisco is truly the premier one-day Real Estate Symposium in the country.
