The Candidate's Guidance Committee of the Northern California Chapter of the Appraisal Institute has expanded its services to provide guidance to individuals who are considering and/or pursuing new careers in the real estate appraisal profession. These services include assistance with the licensing process, information on joining the Appraisal Institute, and advice on finding entry-level positions in the industry. We can offer you experienced insight into the appraisal profession such as the future of the industry, residential vs. non-residential appraisal practice, areas of specialization, networking, etc. We are available to answer any questions you may have about getting started. We can also provide you with assistance in locating the Office of Real Estate Appraisers' (OREA) forms and the OREA licensing handbook, a list of the requisite classes for current and current licensing requirements, and references for study-guides and webinars to help you prepare for the license exams.
